What data we handle.

This page is about you, visiting udstillerguide.dk — our marketing site. We explain what we keep, for how long, and what we don't do. If you're a customer looking for how we handle your own exhibitors' and visitors' data as a data processor, Data processing and DPA is the page you need.

Last updated: 3 May 2026.

What we keep about you as a visitor

We've deliberately cut away the tracking layer. The site runs without Google Analytics, without the Facebook Pixel and without third-party advertising networks. What we actually keep is listed briefly here.

Contact form

If you write to us through the form, we pass your enquiry on via a form service so that it lands in our inbox. We keep the email for as long as there's an active conversation.

Cloudflare cookies

The site sits behind Cloudflare, which sets technical cookies to protect against bots and DDoS attacks. No tracking, no advertising.

Local preference

When you choose a light or dark theme, we save it in your browser's localStorage. It never leaves your device. We don't show a cookie banner — we only set strictly necessary cookies (Cloudflare security), which don't require consent under GDPR/ePrivacy.

Server logs

Our web server logs anonymised access times for operational purposes. The logs rotate out automatically after 30 days.

What we don't do

What we've chosen not to do is just as important as what we keep. It isn't a marketing argument — it's simply how the site is built.

No tracking pixels

Neither Google Analytics, the Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight nor any other third-party tracker is installed.

No advertising cookies

We don't sell advertising space and we don't take part in the ad-tech ecosystem. So there are no retargeting cookies either.

No reselling of data

We don't sell, rent out or exchange contact data. Full stop.

No cross-site profiling

We don't build profiles of visitors across sites or sessions, and we don't pass information on to behaviour-based networks.

Want to remove them? You can always clear the site data for udstillerguide.dk in your browser — then everything local is gone. Cloudflare cookies are set again the next time you visit the site, because they're needed to deliver the site securely.

If you've written to us

When you send an email or fill in the contact form, the message lands in our ordinary inbox and archive. That's what we use to reply to you — and to remember what we've talked about.

We keep the correspondence for as long as there's an active conversation or a relationship that may refer back to it. When 24 months have passed without contact, we delete the thread. You can also ask us to delete it sooner at any time — just write to [email protected] with "delete my data" in the subject line.

Your rights

As a data subject, you have a set of rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We treat them the way you should — no fees, no reluctance.

Access

You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you.

Rectification

If something is wrong, we'll correct it.

Erasure

You can ask us to delete your information. We'll do so unless we have a specific legal obligation to keep it.

Objection

You can object to processing, or ask for it to be restricted.

How to do it: Write to [email protected]. We reply in line with the GDPR, usually within a few days. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet.

If you're a customer

This page covers you as a visitor to our site. If you're an organiser and a customer of ours, we also process your own exhibitors' and visitors' data — but there we're the data processor, and you're the data controller.

That role — where your data is kept, which sub-processors we use, how we delete on termination and what our DPA looks like — has its own page: Data processing and DPA.
